Kevin James O'Connor was born in Chicago, Illinois, November 15, 1963. His Father James O'Connor, was a Chicago policeman. His Mother, Patricia, was a Chicago school teacher. They have since retired. Kevin has two brothers, one older named, David, and one younger named, Christopher. Growing up Kevin idolized cartoonists, such as Charles Schulz ("Peanuts") and Chester Gould ("Dick Tracy"), hoping to be a cartoonist himself one day. It was a St. Laurence High School production of "Oliver!",where he played 'Bill Sykes', that gave him his first acting experience. After graduating from St. Laurence High School in 1981, he enrolled in DePaul's Goodman School of Drama and trained for a career in the theater. He appeared in the stage production "El Salvador" at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theater, then appeared in "Colorado Catechism" at the Circle Repertory in New York City. He was working in New York, when he got called to L.A. for an audition with Francis Ford Coppola. A few weeks later he got the part of 'Michael Fitzsimmons' in "Peggy Sue Got Married", and the rest is history. In the last 20 years, he has appeared in over 30 movies, 5 television shows and 2 short-lived television series. He currently lives in Chicago, Ill. |
